Search terms are keywords or questions typed in search engines like Google to determine website results that has the closest matching words. Over the course of 2015, I’ve seen the many search terms people use to finally end up here at Level Up Haffle. You may not have found what you’re looking for, so let me point you in the right direction. I will comment and answer some of the most used queries, if it holds enough context. I’ll be skipping the ones that I do not know much about as well as the irrelevant terms.
Most of these are Lotro biased, with a lot of emphasis on the Beorning class. Let’s take it from the top, with the most used search terms this calendar year.
- Lotro Expansions
Yes, Lotro expansions. What about them? Lotro has released five expansions to-date, and while the game is currently in the Gondor region, it does not involve an expansion, nor does it look like we will get another in the near future. But should you need a quick run down on the available expansions, I have detailed them in a post here. Very handy when sales are on for newer players, and do keep in mind that the opinions are my own.
2. The Beorning Class
On the class..
Fun, viable medium armored man beasts that can DPS, heal and tank. A premium class that must be unlocked from the store for 1000 Turbine Points. Mediocre amount of AOE DPS skills, but has very good single target DPS skills. Uses the Wrath mechanic, very much like how Champions consume fervor. Wrath is needed to switch to bear-form, where most of the better skills are. Good fun when levelling solo 1-100, and I’d pace it between a Champion and a Captain. For a more in-depth overview of the Beorning, check out the wiki. I’ve also written a brief first impression when the class was released a year ago.
On Beorning guides..
There aren’t many that I’ve come across, but here’s a couple of good ones.
On Beorning Essences..
Beornings use Might and Vitality essences as both are primary stats for the class. Might improves your DPS and heals, while Vitality does your morale. Once you’re happy with that, look at secondary stats that will improve Crit Rating and Mitigation. Personally, I also stack Crit Defense, as we are the squishiest of the Might classes.
Do Beornings Have Good DPS?
Objectively, they do. It will all come down to how you gear your Beorning and what you’re trying to achieve in-game. Personally, my Beorning does sufficient DPS, but for the Moors and Group content, I will always prefer the Captain. However, I have seen and been on the receiving end of effective Beorning players who can tear things up in a matter of seconds. As long as you know what you’re doing with your Wrath management and Bear-form skills (Execute ftw), you should be pleased with your DPS output.
3. Minas Tirith
Minas Tirith as a hub location has been released with Update 17. So go buy the quest-pack or turn VIP to check it out. If all else fails, spolier warning, click on the following link: Posts about Minas Tirith
4. Lotro Blogs
Hello! I am a Lotro blogger, nice to meet you and glad you found me. I often blog about in-game experiences, end-game and PvMP. If I’m not your cup of tea, there are more Lotro bloggers out there, and it’s great the community is still active. Do check out the blog roll to the right of your screen for a list of active Lotro bloggers.
And if you are new to the game and are only just starting to look at blogs, I’m afraid to say the numbers have dwindled drastically. Back in the day, the Lotro community was blessed with a fantastic array of community sites, from guides (MMO Morsel!), podcasts, fashion sites and more. Today, we are survived by a mix of the newer and older generations of this community, which is still great. Sneaking in the opportunity to say that I miss CSTM dearly.
Here’s an idea for you. Why don’t you start your own blog? Get involved with the community. We’re a good bunch.
Another medium armor class that primarily tanks. It can DPS, and range-DPS too. I have a Warden but have not been playing him enough to elaborate further on the current state of the class. If you are looking for a guide on Warden tanking, here’s a pretty fine one: Lotro Warden Tanking Guide by GuideScroll. Fun fact: Did you know that Wardens used to use Might as their primary stat?
6. Late Merry Christmas Wishes
I still chuckle that you’ve managed to end up here. Here are a few suggestions:
“Dear__, it’s been a very busy festive season and I sincerely regret that this is coming late. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas season and a great New Year ahead”.
“Dear_, I have been lost in <insert game of your choice> and lost track of time! Apologies for the late wish, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”.
7. Legendary Item Imbuement
I have covered this extensively in a collated guide that can be found here.
8. Malaysian Epic Story
Nothing to see here.
9. Lotro Captain Legacies
I’ve recently listed down the Captain legacies prior to update 16 going live. These are the legacies available after you imbue your LI. You can find them here.
The end! It will be interesting to see what are the most used search terms for next year. Which will be here very soon. It’s already the 31st of December here, so wishing everyone a happy new year in advance!
