..screenshots. It’s a great meme picture! Log in issues lasted for quite a while on Saturday, and I finally got in game around noon. So here’s what happened this weekend.
And The Big News Is..
I transferred. My main, Haffleheim, is now on Landroval. This will be home. I’ve had some fantastic memories over the past 4 years on Riddermark, and I will always remember them fondly and cherish the people I played with. As mentioned in the last Moors report post, this is a new challenge and an experience that was much needed. Happy to be here Landy, and thankful for the new friends I’ve met. On a sad note – to avoid getting the Haffleheim-1 name, I had to delete the level 30 Haffleheim, the original Captain Landroval. The Council of the Secret Fire – the kinship that he was in – was nice enough to host me for well over a year, and for that I am grateful.
What does one do when they first arrive on new shores? Well, I sorted all my inventory and bought a new house to store all the decorations and trophies I brought over. Once that was taken care of, there was only one thing left to do.
Reporting For Duty!
The lack of group fights on Riddermark over the last few months has made me and my Cappy rusty. Very rusty. Landy Creeps know their stuff and I sure got rolled over a number of times. Within an hour my rotations became familiar again and I was using my quickbars efficiently for stun/daze/fear pots. I still can’t believe I’d forgotten I had a rank 11 insignia (brand). Satisfyingly, the commendations and renown were rolling in at a steady pace again. Group fights were constant and the Freeps I ran with formed what looked like to me, members of two established PvMP kinships on the server, that had no problems working together as a unit. This was refreshing to see.
I had a ton of fun getting jumped by Wargs again, and just being able to play the Captain the way I love to play, which simply is taking care of the group/fellowship/raid I’m in during engagements with the Creeps. The ticker moves slowly but surely towards rank 12. I’ll be working on essence armor and gold epic battle jewelries during the week to boost my Cappy further for the weekend ahead.
Hafflewrath the Beorning did have some fun out in the Moors sun too but he needs a lot of work done on his gear. He doesn’t have a single point of audacity, let alone level 100 armor and accessories. It was kind of funny at first, getting 3 shotted by Wargs an BA’s. But after the 10th time of ending up in the rez circle, I threw in the flags. One stand out moment was a spar he had with another Beorning who was geared to the teeth. In Red line, he managed to stun me as his first move, hit Thrash tiers 1, 2 and 3, and the final blow knocked me out for a whooping 16, 000 damage to morale. He is now being relegated to the role of ‘Daily Dude’ ; earning the additional commendations after the big fights of the day have taken place, involving Haffleheim the Cappy, by doing some of the Ettenmoors daily quests. The bright side is that the bear has hit rank 5. I know I said that I’m coming up with a Beorning’s in the Moors + Trait lines post, and I’ll be working on that this month, gathering insights from my playtime as well as other Beorning players on Landroval.
Bittersweet weekend it has been. The next chapter has begun. Have a good rest of the week people.
